Matsusoh - Emile Series
The interior we are introducing today is by Matsusoh, a brand that can arguably be called the highest level among Japanese furniture manufacturers. There is no compromise with the words "Is this good enough?"; instead, they approach furniture production with the mindset of creating a work of art.
The table we are introducing is the "Emile Series," which incorporates the European Art Nouveau artistic style (1920-1930) and is designed for modern specifications. While the minimum price for a table starts from 2 million yen, this particular item is a custom-made specification.
A 5-piece set starts from 4 million yen.
About the beautiful seamless wood grain in the central part
Normally, high-grade materials like marblewood (including maple), known as the "marble of wood" from South America, are used. However, the tables we are introducing are made from hard maple grown around the Great Lakes in Canada and the United States, harvested only in harsh conditions at -30 degrees Celsius.
About the glossy white sycamore wood grain on the table frame and legs
Although this material can be found in some parts of America, it is said that the best material comes from France, and it is a rare material with only 1/50th the number of trees as the hard maple mentioned earlier.
About the color
Attention has also been paid to the colors, using purple and brown, which appear as a gradient depending on the viewing angle and position. This, combined with the beautiful grain of marblewood and white sycamore, results in a luxurious finish.
